Our Story
Scott and I married in May of 2001. We've either together or separately owned/operated 7 businesses, most doing very well. We owned a hotel at one time in Branson Missouri. It was then that we both thought a little solitude would be nice. We'd dreamed of growing our own vegetables and herbs as we're both very good cooks.. bordering more on chef style. Yes, we like our down home cook'n but we also like Fillet Mignon/Beef Tenderloin with Bearnaise, or a tableside made Caesar salad (don't laugh, they're not easy to make correctly) - that's the short list of what we like to make. Many times we go to high end restaurants and try something we liked and then we go home and try to duplicate it. What real cook doesn't like to use the freshest ingredients possible?
With the prompting of the Holy Spirit we started out on this journey to being independent of grocery stores, hormones, chemicals and the high food prices. We've looked at this from many different angles and we teach others to do the same. This is true freedom. We do not believe in the climate change hoax, global warming fear mongering, but we do believe in a quality of living.
We are in the business of community. We help other people achieve their food independence as well. This is who we are.. and what we do.
